Holy carp, was Gamicon a blast! Last weekend I was very honored to be a special guest at Gamicon in Iowa City. It was a really swell, laid back gaming con with lots of really great people. I made a buttload of new friends, including, but not limited to: Jeff, Michelle, Garrett, Shawn, Tim, John, Susan, Susan, Nigel, Alex, Laura, Travis (I sent his character to prison four times because he wouldn't shut up), Wes, Wade, Dave, Phil, Jimmy, Val, Brookins, Jason, Dave, Brian, Tim, Crystal, Theresa, and a dozens of others whose names evade me at the moment. Everyone was so cool and really made me feel welcome. Oh, and every single one of them will be getting his or her shiny wazoo to Con on the Cob this year.
On the way home I got stuck in the airport for four extra hours due to the weather, but I managed to make it home safely, so all is well. Thanks once again to Jeff, Michelle, and the rest of the gang for making it all happen. |

After much idiocy the Official Low Life website is back up and running. Sorry for the prolonged delay.
Standby for new features, including:
A new, less hackable, message board. The Whole Hole will be replaced by a blog format, similar to that used at The Wanderers Guild site, also currently under construction but still active. We'll still do the pdf books, but the blog is a good intermediary and proving ground. You will be able to post writing and artwork.

The Adopt-A-Geek website is now up and running. Go check it out, enjoy yourself, and send me your money.
In other news, here's a new picture I did for the Origins registration book and whatever else they decide to use it for:

I'm almost finished with the new Adopt-A-Geek website. Adopt-A-Geek is a service of Con on the Cob whereby generous patrons donate funds to help less fortunate geeks enjoy the con.

Aloha amigos,
I just finished the cd art adn design for the new Worm Quartet cd, Mental Notes. For those not in the know, Worm Quartet is a bad ass synth-punk-comedy-dementia musicality frontlined and sidelined by a legendary man-monster called -=ShoEboX=-. You should really check out www.wormquartet.com and buy all his cds and stuff. Also, Worm Quartet will be performing live at Con on the Cob this year, along with Sudden Death, Nerd Punk, The Electric Tripod Experience, and many others.

That's correct, friends and neighbors. I decided to join the 21st century and update my website, which hasn't had a real overhaul in years. Tons of amazing things have happened since I last got around to updating my site (sorry for the delay). of course, the coolest and most important of those things is the birth and growth of my daughter Iliana. She's two and a half now. The last picture of her I posted on my web page was an ultrasound, so here's a much newer one (although it's still about a year old) of her rippin' stuff up by driving a golfcart through the mall at Ceasar's Palace in Vegas). Heather has all the newer ones on her computer.

Another really awesome thing that's happened of late is my newest book, Low Life, which I illustrated, wrote, and designed was published last year by Great White Games. Check out www.muthaoith.com for more on that.
Also in the last couple of years I started a bad ass new convention with some of my friends. It's called Con on the Cob and you really must get your shiny wazoo over there. Last year was a blast and this year should be even better. www.cononthecob.com. This year's artist guest of honor is Larry Elmore. Last year the legendary Jeff Easley was in the house.
Other cool things that have happened lately include the honor of being a special guest at two different cons early this year. The first -Raven Con in Owensboro, KY was really fun. It was in a mall and was hosted by the Strattons at Raven Tales, a very fine game store. I scored the gigantic 3D version of Settlers of Catan for Heather while I was there. The second con is Gamicon in Iowa City, Iowa. It happens at the end of February and I'm getting pretty jazzed. I'll be offering a sneak peak and playtest of my new card game, Dementalism, at Gamicon.
Oh, and I'm doing the cd art for Worm Quartet's new album due out very soon.
That's all for now. Talk to you soon, friends.
